Much of his work is inspired by nature, its beauty and vulnerability as an open question in front of the reasons why the human being is continually harming it. Mainman creates a fictitious naturalistic universe -reminiscent of the classical still life- where nature and flowers, with their short existence are a reminder of the brevity of life and the transience of beauty.
